  • Singing and Repairing the World in the Southern Freedom Movement

    The Temple Sinai Adult Education Committee begins its programming year with a presentation by Dr. Cheryl C. Boots and Rabbi Michael Schwartz entitled “Singing and Repairing the World in the Southern Freedom Movement and the volunteers inspired by the teachings of Torah, the Hebrew Bible.

    Cheryl C. Boots, Ph.D., is a retired professor of Humanities and American Studies at Boston University, singer/songwriter, and researcher of the songs the influences American racial justice movements.

    The program is free but RSVPs are required by Monday, November 2nd. Refreshments will be served.
